So for this one we picked an ad out of a magazine and kept the layout and used our own drawings to imitate the ad. Our images were to depict the first week of school. In my ad a door was the main focus, with different types of nature such as trees, flowers and animals peeking our from behind it. In my composition I used a stack of books to replace the door and different items that remind me of school to replace the nature

First week back

You don't have the magazine layout posted so I'm not sure what it was supposed to turn out like. BUT I like how it did! I like how you choice to use color very lightly.

ReplyDeleteAlthough I didn't see where the original magazine layout was, I think this looks great. I really enjoy your sketches. I love your whimsical drawings and your composition is interesting. You have an appropriate use of color as well. Great Job!
Austin... I really enjoyed your 5 object drawing, and same goes for this one. Your sublty of color was a good idea, I think; it definitly empasizes the objects. Your composition works very well too, liked your idea of nature then branching off and using objects more meaningful to the actual purpose of the project...nice job!
